Druidic Tree System
The Druidic Tree System is a cycle starting with the first Full Moon after Yule (some traditions start on the first Full Moon after Samhain.) These peoples followed a Lunar calendar instead of the Solar calendar we follow today, so there are 13 months in the Druidic system, each named after a tree or shrub.
1st Full Moon- Birch Moon
2nd Full Moon- Rowan Moon
3rd Full Moon- Ash Moon
4th Full Moon- Alder Moon
5th Full Moon- Willow Moon
6th Full Moon- Hawthorne Moon
7th Full Moon- Oak Moon
8th Full Moon- Holly Moon
9th Full Moon- Hazel Moon
10th Full Moon- Vine Moon (grapevine)
11th Full Moon- Reed Moon
12th Full Moon- Elder Moon
13th Full Moon- Elm Moon
